The Missouri Fox Trotting horse is known for its gentle disposition, great versatility
and, of course, its wonderful gait. Bred for soundness, stamina, and willingness to please
-- these horses are used for ranch work, showing, trail riding, field trials, hunting, pleasure,
endurance riding and a variety of other tasks across the US and around the world.
Missouri Foxtrotters come in any and all colors, the most common color being
sorrel/chestnut, and are normally around 14 to 16 hands. The average Foxtrotter is an
excellent all around horse that is surefooted in the mountains and beautiful in the show
ring.
