WELCOME TO

DOUBLE DIAMOND T FOXTROTTERS…

…Owned by LeRoy and Sharon Tipton.  They raise their gaited Missouri Foxtrotting horses along the Wishkah River in the Wishkah Valley north of Aberdeen, near Washington's coast.  Missouri Foxtrotters are America's favorite trail horse and are noted for their swift, gentle ride on all types of trails and for their versatility, gentle disposition, and beauty.  In addition to their popularity as sure footed trail horses, “Foxtrotters” are successfully used in endurance, ranch work, gaming, shooting competition, packing, and driving.

From the time they first rode a Missouri Foxtrotter on the Friesen ranch in Southern Oregon, in 1987, Sharon and LeRoy knew when they once again owned horses it would have to be the beautiful, easy going, gentle, smooth riding, Foxtrotter.  They realized their dream 9 years later when they began to raise this outstanding breed.

When asked why he likes the Foxtrotter over all other breeds, LeRoy is not content to cite only its smooth, easy, swift gait, as desirable as that is.  He has to include, as well, its beautiful form, intelligence, and sweet disposition as reasons that make this breed his top choice.

Visitors are always welcome at the Double Diamond T by appointment.

Stormy as a foal

Stormy as a yearling

Double Diamond T Foxtrotters’
"Shawnee’s Perfect Storm"
Pedigree

Gorgeous, registered Missouri Foxtrotter 5/2005 yearling filly. Shawnee’s Perfect Storm is bred for show and trails. She is the rare, sought after, beautiful and unique smoky black color. (UC Davis DNA Color test: Ec, a, N/Cr).  Her thick wavy mane and tail, smoky black coat, and stocky build reminds one of a graceful Friesen with a natural foxtrot. She, however, is not likely to reach more than 15.2h and 1100 pounds, and of course has no tufts of hair on her feet.

“Stormy is a full sister to our Tobiano Buckskin stud colt, “Eagle.”

“Stormy” is out of the popular Perlino stallion, Southern Blizzard and our beautiful Tobiano Foxtrotter mare, “Shawnee.” Her great-grandfathers include Foxtrotter legends like War Eagle, Toddy’s Perfection and World Grand Champion Danney Joe W.  She comes when called, loves people, leads, loads, has had her feet handled and trimmed regularly and easily. This awesomely beautiful filly is athletic, intelligent, and teachable with loads of personality. She is our puppy dog at the barn and in the pasture.  This girl just has a naturally gentle disposition.

We are asking $5,500, we have temporarily slashed the price to $3,300.

"Lakota’s Harbor Frost"
Pedigree

Awesome Missouri Foxtrotter 5/2005 geldingEnjoy training him for show and the trails or for driving, working cattle or whatever you want. He is easily trainable and versatile. His new owner may want to train this smart horse some tricks to show him off.  He is so beautiful as he foxtrots around the pasture, carring his tail and head up.  This boy is full of himself, totally confident, and a real leader.

“Frosty” looks white but is Ivory Champagne. (UC Davis Color Test= e Aa N/Cr) with white mane and tail.

Lakota’s Harbor Frost is bred for show and trail. World Grand Champion “Danney Joe W” is his great-grandsire.  His sire, Pride’s Dunn Deal is Amber Champagne and his mother “Lakota” is our beautiful Palomino with Toddy’s Perfection and Zane’s Diamond J. breeding.

This handsome colt is athletic, intelligent, and oh-so-teachable with personality plus. He will catch you in the pasture. Handled from birth, he loves people, leads, loads, had feet handled and trimmed regularly, and trailered.  The buyer of “Frosty” will most definitely want to put this boy in parades and grand entries.

Double Diamond T Foxtrotters’
"Shawnee’s Spotted Eagle"
Pedigree
(Reg. Pending)

Remarkable 5/2006 Tobiano Buckskin gelding. According to the University of Kentucky color genetic test, he carries the cream gene. This hard to find, very desirable, uniquely colored colt will really catch their eyes in the ring and on the trail.  Use him on cattle or eventing, or train him for whatever you like.  We expect him to be about 15.2 h.

Eagle has great breeding, is a full brother to “Stormy” above, so of course he also is out of the popular Perlino stallion, Southern Blizzard and our beautiful Tobiano Foxtrotter mare, “Shawnee”. His great-grandfathers include Foxtrotter legends War Eagle, Toddy’s Perfection and World Grand Champion Danney Joe W.  Eagle is curious, alert, intelligent, athletic, loves people, and has been handled from birth, as with all our horses you may walk right up to him in the pasture – if you don’t, he’ll come looking for you.  He is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Double Diamond T Foxtrotters’
"Diamond’s Harbor Sunshine"

Pedigree

“Sunshine” is a stunningly beautiful 5/2006 Palomino, MFT Filly. As a baby, she is looking like she will become a dark palomino. Sunshine is out of our wonderful Chestnut mare Diamond, and is sired by the popular Perlino stallion Southern Blizzard, who is also the sire of our Tobiano Buckskin colt, Eagle and our Smoky Black yearling filly, Stormy.

Sunshine has a gorgeous head & beautiful, soft doe eyes, is well bred for show or trail; she loves people, and is smart, alert, quick, and gentle.  “Sunshine” will give you great pride, wherever you ride and can throw beautiful buckskin babies for you.  Neighbors are amazed when they see her (and all these horses) foxtrotting as a baby in the pasture. Of course she foxtrots in the pasture as a baby - , her gait is natural.

This girl, like her grandmother, mom, half- brother Eagle, and half-sister Stormy absolutely loves people.  She has a real dilemma, even as a suckling youngster, whether to go out to the pasture with her mom and the other horses or stay at the barn for love and attention. (She eventually chooses the pasture – after we go to the house.)

Her maternal grandsire is the wonderful stallion, King Midas who is out of Golden Emperor, Gold Man, Golden Rawhide, Roxie, Golden Governor and Nancy Ann, Old Buck, Yellow Jacket, Topsy E., Mitchell’s Trigger and many other greats.  Her maternal grandmother’s (our retired mare, Sweet Talk), pedigree reads like a book of “Foxtrotting Foundation Legends”.  She is out of Cotham Dare F-10, Chap F-243, Golden Governor F-107, and Nancy Ann F-166.  Then of course Zane Grey and Missouri Traveler, and Ginger F-516, Blue Boy’s Entertainer, Little Trixie, Poole’s Blue Boy, and Rocket Dare.  She is directly out of Miss Happy Talk and Missouri’s Ozark Traveler.

We are asking $5,500 OBO for “Sunshine” to a good home.

Double Diamond T Foxtrotters’
"Lakota’s Harbor Mist"
Pedigree

Her University of Kentucky color genetic test shows she carries the cream gene, She has china eyes and a pink muzzle, and all black points. Still, if she proves to be Amber Champagne, she will have the same appearance as Buckskin) She is a full Sister to “Frosty”, our yearling Ivory Champagne gelding.  World Grand Champion “Danney Joe W” is her great-grandsire.  Her sire, Pride’s Dunn Deal is Amber Champagne and her mother “Lakota” is our beautiful Palomino with Toddy’s Perfection and Zane’s Diamond J. breeding.

“Misty” is sure to turn heads and get oohs and ahs wherever she goes.  Enjoy her in the ring, on the trail, in parades, or whatever you enjoy.  She will be a great crowd pleaser wherever you take her.  “Misty” will also bare beautiful foals.    She is absolutely beautiful, with a great head & body, she is well bred, athletic, & intelligent and displays that natural Foxtrotter gait.

We are asking $5,500 OBO for Misty to a good home.  We cut Misty's price to only $3,100.
